Lion’s Head stands proudly as the guardian of Cape Town, offering one of the most scenic and accessible summit experiences in the city. Whether at sunrise with coffee in hand, or sunset with golden skies stretching across the ocean, this hike is a celebration of light, views, and shared accomplishment. From the summit – Table Mountain, the Atlantic Ocean, and the twinkling city below spread out in all directions — an Eagle-Eye view of Cape Town you won’t forget.
What to Expect
Start & Flow: Begin with a gentle warm-up, stretch and group introduction before heading onto the trail. The path winds gradually upward before reaching exciting sections of ladders and light scrambling.
Turning Points: The scrambling ladders are a fun challenge, followed by the summit — a flat, open space ideal for photos, reflection, and a moment of peace before heading down.
Descent: We move carefully together, aiming to descend before darkness. Mornings finish in calm reflection, evenings in a warm glow of shared awe.

Duration: 2–3 hours active hiking; 3–4 hours including summit stop

Refunds & Reschedules
We hike in most weather — clouds, sun, or light rain all bring their own beauty. Only in severe or unsafe conditions will hikes be rescheduled or rerouted.
24+ hours before: full refund or free reschedule
12–24 hours before: 50% refund or free reschedule
Less than 12 hours: no refund; reschedule at guide’s discretion
